WadzPay Leads the Way in Supporting Natya Vriksha’s World Dance Day

After two years hiatus due to Covid-19, Natya Vriksha’s World Dance Day was held for the 15th time, through 22nd — 23rd April 2022 at India International Centre Auditorium, in New Delhi.
Founded by renowned classical dancer (Padmashri) Geeta Chandran, Natya Vriksha enshrines the best philosophies of Indian classical culture. It aims to make youth aware of the immense potential of Bharatanatyam to become a live voyage of learning.
Natya Vriksha has a vision to prove the continuing relevance of classical tradition in a world of changing values. It highlights the aesthetics of Bharatanatyam and its history, how the tenets of dance can be employed as a means of communicating issues of contemporary concern, even while exploring linkages between history and continuity, as well as between external body and internal mind-space.
For the first time ever, WadzPay collaborated with Natya Vriksha’s World Dance Day, sponsoring a showcase of classical Indian dance. WadzPay decided to join hands to support this important event to preserve India’s heritage.

The Natya Vriskha’s 15th World Dance Day Festival was a tremendous success and many artists participated in the event. Hence, Geeta Chandran admits that the 2022 Festival was bigger and most exciting as it included workshops, seminars, discussions, and demonstrations. In addition to this, one of the programs featured during the event, the Young Dancers Festival, has become an important showcase for India’s young talent.
